The Junior Instructional Program includes eight different class levels for children between the ages of 2½ through 18. The Program aims to provide a structured and fun framework for learning from which the student will foster a lasting enjoyment for the game of tennis and a willingness and desire to improve. 10 and Under Tennis: (Quickstart)
Levels/Ages-Tiny Tots (3&4), Pee Wees (5&6), Mighty Mites (7&8), Midgets (9&10)
Introduce your child to tennis with Clearwater Tennis’ USTA Ten and Under Tennis Program. Your player will learn the basics of tennis with specifically designed equipment and professional instructions assuring your child a positive, successful and fun experience. Players will learn the first stages of cooperative tennis. The players will also learn how to initiate a rally, how to move and judge the ball, how to control the racquet at the contact point, and control the height, direction and depth to be successful on the 36’ courts and 60’ courts.

Academy: (LOW RATIO) “Rookie and Local” (USTA Tournament Levels)
Stroke production, point development and consistent rallying will be emphasized. Players will experience the 5 basic play situations and will refine their tactical/technical skills. Concepts of offense/defense will be drilled in both singles and doubles. Ball control exercises that enhance consistency, direction, depth and spin will be stressed. A variety of adaptive skills will be trained using dead ball drills, live ball drills and competitive play situations in all areas of the court. Students in this class must compete in Junior Ladder matches.

ELITE: (LOWEST RATIO) “Super Series and UP” (USTA Tournament Levels)
Play with top juniors, college and ITF level players daily. Fitness, live ball drills and competitive match play will be accentuated. Matches will be set up with players from other camps as well.

The USTA Team Tennis programs are for players 18’s and under, 14’s and under, 12’s and under, plus 10 and Under Tennis (Quickstart) with an exciting new format for learning tennis by utilizing modified equipment and scoring to keep them playing.
